In a study, the British Promotional Merchandising Association (BPMA) found that mugs were kept longer than any other promotional item.

In the BPMA research study, 94% of participants said they did not forget the brand advertising on a promotional item. Furthermore, 87% said they kept an item for longer than a year, and 30% for longer than four years.
